Morocco
21 December 2018 - 7 January 2019
We chose to spend the Christmas holiday season of 2018-19 exploring the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes of Morocco. Our journey began with a flight directly to Casablanca, where we stayed just for the night. The next day, we set off toward Rabat, immersing ourselves in the local sights.

Continuing along the breathtaking Atlantic coast, we made our way to Asilah. After a restful night, we drove to Tangier, taking a scenic route through Espartel. While in Tangier, we also ventured out to the Cascades d'Akchour, embarking on the adventurous 'God's Bridge' trail.

Our next stop was Chefchaouen, where we spent a couple of delightful days soaking in the blue-washed streets. From there, we headed to Fez, pausing to explore the ancient ruins of Volubilis and the historical city of Meknes along the way.

Driving through the charming town of Ifrane and the picturesque Ziz Valley, we finally reached Merzouga. We spent an unforgettable night at a desert camp, surrounded by the vast dunes under a starry sky. The next day, we explored Todra and Dades Gorges, eventually settling for the night in Boumaine Dades.

Our adventure continued as we visited The Atlas Studios and the enchanting Fint Oasis near Ouarzazate. We then headed to Marrakech, where we celebrated the New Year with vibrant festivities and also made a trip to the stunning Ouzoud Waterfalls.

To wrap up our journey, we relaxed at the charming coastal towns of Essaouira and Oualidia before returning to Casablanca for our flight home. This trip was truly a memorable experience filled with breathtaking views and rich cultural encounters.
