Brazil
February - March 1998
We arrived in Rio just in time for the carnival weekend. The next day, we stayed up all night at the Sambadrome, soaking in the incredible energy. Our adventure continued as we hopped on a bus to Paraty, where we lingered for a couple of days. After that, we made our way to São Paulo for an overnight stop.

Next, we flew to Ouro Preto, and from there, we headed to Belo Horizonte to catch a flight to Foz do Iguaçu. Our travels didn't stop there; we boarded another plane to Manaus, where we embarked on an unforgettable jungle tour along the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões. After our time in Manaus, we spent three days on a ferry to Santarém, where we had to buy our own hammocks for the journey.

Following a couple of days in Santarém, we flew to Recife and settled in Olinda. From Recife, we took a bus to Maceió and then braved a long 10-hour bus ride to Salvador de Bahia. Finally, we returned to Rio de Janeiro, where we enjoyed our last few days before flying back home.
